Exams: Preparing a Memory aid for an exam

Tips and strategies for preparing for, and sitting, an exam

Preparing a Memory Aid

As the exams get closer and you have a better idea of what will be in the exam, begin to write up your memory aid.

A memory aid is a student created resource that you can use during exams. A memory aid can consist of  information, summaries, definitions, examples, essay plans, theories, case studies, quotes etc. that you might require in order to complete an exam.

NOTE: Check that a memory aid is allowed for your course, as not all courses allow memory aids in their exams.
