Research impact and citation analysis: Altmetric Explorer

About Altmetric Explorer

Altmetric Explorer tracks mentions of research outputs (including publications and data sets) in social media, news media, blogs, Wikipedia, and engagement on scholarly platforms, plus citations in patents and policy documents. Altmetric Explorer also allows you to generate analytical reports for individual research outputs, authors, groups of researchers, or Schools.

Altmetric Explorer imports information on University of Newcastle authors and their publications from NURO. Therefore it is important to keep your NURO profile up-to-date.

Accessing Altmetric Explorer
Altmetric Explorer is available to all University of Newcastle staff and students and can be accessed via the Library's Databases A-Z List. All users are required to register using their UON email address (either 'newcastle.edu.au' or 'uon.edu.au'. Follow the link in the email to complete the registration process (this email may take several minutes). Do not use your UON password for Altmetric Explorer registration).
