Evaluation of information sources is an important aspect of university writing.

By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to:

  • recognise the importance of evaluating information before using it for your university assignments,
  • identify some basic criteria to evaluate sources, and
  • apply these evaluation criteria to common information sources
