About

What is Indigenisation?

"Indigenising curriculum is the embedding of Indigenous histories, voices, experiences, knowledges and ways of learning into our teaching" (Kamp, 2022).

'Decolonisation' is usually seen as removing elements from courses, whereas an 'Indigenisation' approach is more around recognition and addition.

The resources in this Portal have been filtered via consultation with Indigenous staff and students at the University to promote knowledge and ways of learning and understanding.
