Understanding your sources

There are many different sources of information you can use to research your assignments.  Sources vary depending on the type of information being communicated.  Some commonly used sources are listed below.

So which is best?  This will depend on your assignment. Read the lecturer's instructions to see what is appropriate.

As a general rule, lecturers will most often expect you to use scholarly sources in your assignments - this means articles and books!
