Do you need to brush up on your maths and stats skills? Are you looking for guided examples and explanations on a variety of topics?
This guide is a collection of randomly generated online question sets. Every time you refresh the questions, you will be presented with a new variation of the same problem. The questions provide immediate feedback, and include fully worked solutions with explanations.
Please be patient while the question sets load, particularly those that may include large amounts of randomly generated tables or images.
Use this guide to practice your maths and stats skills on additional question sets.
You can browse the complete collection of question sets as arranged by topic if you would like to build your confidence on a particular topic (such as algebra, or trigonometry). Not all topics are comprehensively covered by the question sets, but usually there will be several question sets in each topic that covers a range of skills and prior understanding.
Otherwise, you can search the question sets as aligned to specific UON courses. Again, each course may not be comprehensively covered by the question sets, but usually there will be some breadth to the material across the courses.
Academic Learning Support advisers specialise in supporting students at UON in developing their maths and stats skills.
If you'd like help with specific questions, then you're welcome to visit a MASH drop-in (held via Zoom during each semester - see CareerHub for event details and drop-in times).
Alternatively, you can book an individual appointment with a learning adviser through CareerHub to discuss your progress.
If the question banks are not loading properly (they will usually take a while to load), or if they are displaying errors, then let us know!
Thanks for reviewing this guide!
