Introduction

  • Understand the responsible use of research metrics 

  • Evaluate different types of research metrics and understand their strengths and weaknesses 

  • Identify a range of databases and tools used for measuring the impact of research outputs 

  • Select the most appropriate databases and metrics

  • Apply strategies to keep up to date with who is citing your research 

  • Develop an impact story based on research metrics.
