What's in this guide?

This Guide introduces referencing basics for Open Foundation and Newstep course citation styles.

Please click the following referencing styles for information, examples, short videos and pdfs:

  • AGLC4 is the required citation style by the Newcastle Law School

  • APA6 is based upon the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.)

  • Chicago 17A uses footnotes and an alphabetical bibliography.

  • Harvard is an author-date style system

  • Vancouver is based upon Citing Medicine, 2nd edition by National Library of Medicine (NLM)
