A guide to research methods, and search strategies for finding research.

Search Library catalogue, NewCat+

Search NewCat+ for books and ebooks on research methods.

Use appropriate keyword searches to find either general books on research methods, books about research in a particular discipline, or books relating to specific research methodology.

For example, type the following searches into the NewCat+ search box:

  • "research methods" to find books on general research methods, covering a range of disciplines;
  • "research methods" health to find books focused on health research; or, research "social sciences" to find books focused on social sciences research;
  • "qualitative research" to find books about this research method, in various disciplines.
