There is no cost for using scanners within the library.

There are seven Canon LiDE 210 scanners in the library located in the following rooms.

New! You can also use the new copiers (MFDs) to scan and save to a USB or email to yourself.

Using the CANON LiDE 210 SCANNER via Photoshop

  • Log on to PC
  • Place document to be scanned into the scanner
  • Go to the START button in the left bottom corner
  • Click All Apps > Select Photoshop
  • From menu bar in Photoshop,open File -> Import -> WIA Support
  • Click Start, then OK
  • Choose type of picture e.g colour picture, black and white picture or text
  • Click Preview to view
  • Click Scan to scan the document
  • Go to File > Save As
  • Change file name
  • Change Format to JPEG for colour picture or Tiff for b/w picture
  • Change Save In location if needed, e.g. to Desktop or USB drive
  • Click Save, then OK
