Check out the Library's Digital Technologies self-help guide to find answers to issues around logging in to our systems, common database and browser error messages and more.Please report any library database issues via our online form so that our staff can look into them.
University IT has a searchable Knowledge Base that will help to answer your IT- and software-related questions.
Note that you will need to log in using your university credentials to access this resource.

Microsoft Office (Office 365)
While you are a student at UON you can install a fully-licensed version of many MS Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) on your home device via Office 365. Once you are no longer a student with us, your access will cease.

Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe is providing a limited at-home license for UON students to use Creative Cloud during the current isolation period. For more information, see the article in the UON IT Knowledge Base.

Xyris Software, the developers of FoodWorks, have provided a home use version for UON students and staff to use for free until 20 December, 2020. This is to enable continued use of the product during isolation measures.
Simply click on the download link and enter the product key, following the instructions in the article in the UON IT Knowledge Base.
Please note: If you have any old non-functioning versions of FoodWorks installed, please uninstall them prior to installing version 10.
Citation management software
There are a number of citation managers that students can use to support their referencing needs.
UON pays for a site license for EndNote X9, and there are free alternatives such as Zotero and Mendeley.
