Classification of study types
Studies fall into two patterns - experimental and observational.
Researchers in experimental studies introduce an intervention and study the effects on the subjects. In observational studies, researchers observe the effect of a treatment, test or risk factor on subjects without changing who is exposed or not. [At Work 83 (Winter 2016)]
