Ourimbah Library provides services to both Ourimbah TAFE and University of Newcastle staff and students.
The Ourimbah Information Common (OIC) is open 24/7 during university semester time. Swipe card access is required for entry after main library closes. University students use their student card as swipe card. Ourimbah TAFE students can apply for an OIC swipe card from the student hub.
OIC 24/7 Services include wireless and laptop facilities and access to PCs, Macs, scanners, printing, photocopying and 7 Group Study Rooms. Our friendly Rovers assist with basic IT and facility support. The Food Survival Station, snack and drink machines, newspapers, and two lounge areas are also located in the OIC.
Nyte Bytes: study space opens 24/365 in the Ourimbah library!
From this year the Nyte Bytes (computer Lab226) upstairs in the Ourimbah library is open 24 every day of the year! It never closes! It has 45 PCs, 3 colour and black white printers, 1 photocopier and 2 scanners. It also has a lounge area where students can have a rest while using their WiFi. This is an extension of the 24/7 OIC. When the OIC is closed, you will need to swipe your student card (Ourimbah TAFE students will need to use your swipe card from student hub) to access via the external stairs to the right of the library. For more information see the staff at desk. Enjoy the study space and the facilities there.
A new 'survival station' recently installed in the Information Commons at Ourimbah library! It has a kitchenette with microwaves and hot water facilities – perfect for making hot drinks or heating up food. Enjoy the drink and food!
Ten new iPads are available for students use in the Ourimbah Library from the 24/7 OIC Service desk.
