We are currently recruiting Information Common Support Assistants (Rovers) for 2016 to work at Ourimbah Library. Applications extended to 5pm on 12 October 2015. Find out more at: careerhub.newcastle.edu.au
Ourimbah Library provides services to both Ourimbah TAFE and University of Newcastle staff and students.
The Ourimbah Information Common (OIC) is open 24/7 during university semester time. Swipe card access is required for entry after main library closes. University students use their student card as swipe card. TAFE students can apply for an OIC swipe card from the student hub.
OIC 24/7 Services include wireless and laptop facilities and access to PCs, Macs, scanners, printing, photocopying and 7 Group Study Rooms. Our friendly Rovers assist with basic IT support. The Food Survival Station,snack and drink machines, newspapers, and two lounge areas are also located in the OIC.
More quiet study space open 24/7 in the Information Commons at Ourimbah library!
The computer Lab226 upstairs in the Ourimbah library is now open 24/7. It has 45 PCs, 3 colour and black white printers, 1 photocopier and 2 scanners. It also has a lounge area where students can have a rest while using their WiFi. This is an extension of the quiet study space in addition to the Group Study Rooms in the 24/7 OIC. Enjoy the quiet study space and the facilities there.
A new 'survival station' recently installed in the Information Commons at Ourimbah library! It has a kitchenette with microwaves and hot water facilities – perfect for making hot drinks or heating up food. Enjoy the drink and food!
Ten new iPads are available for students use in Ourimbah Library from the 24/7 OIC Service desk.
A phone charge station is available 24/7 upstairs in the OIC lounge area.
