Find information and resources for research in Music.

Search the Library catalogue

Search for the composer and some title keywords in the Library Catalogue NewCat+ to find a specific score or recording. You can limit to music scores, CDs or vinyl using the 'Format' limit on the left.

Search tips for finding music

  • Searching for songs?  Songs & short compositions may be compiled in an anthology. To search contents lists, search NewCat+ using the Books option, with the title in "quotation marks". Limit the results by Format, e.g. 'Compact Disk', 'Music Score', or 'Gramophone Rec' (vinyl).
  • Music is catalogued in many languages: Search NewCat+ for the word root followed by an asterisk, e.g. sonat*  would find: sonata, sonate, sonaten, sonatina, sonatas...
