Biological Sciences: Books and ebooks search tips

A guide to biological sciences resources for students and staff of the University of Newcastle

Search tips

Find a specific book

Search for the title of the book in the Library catalogue, NewCat+. It may also be useful to add the surname of the first author.

  • Use quotation marks around the title to make your search more specific. Example: "Clinical reasoning".
  • If the Library has the book, the catalogue record for the book will be in the results list. It will include details of editions that are available.
  • For books which are available electronically there will be a link to the ebook provider.
